HOW I WORK

Acupuncture involves inserting very fine needles through the skin at specific points to regulate your body's Qi (energy). I will be facilitating Acupuncture and ancillary treatments including Electroacupuncture, Moxabustion, Cupping and Gua sha in our sessions. Non-needling techniques will be used where appropriate.

1 Diagnosis
2 Expert Treatment
3 Personalised Follow up

During your first treatment, I take a detailed history to formulate a Chinese Medicine diagnosis, which helps me select acupuncture points that address your specific needs.

What sets my approach apart is the personalised treatment plan I create after your initial session. This includes tailored dietary and lifestyle advice, focusing on long-term, sustainable changes to support your health.

Healing continues beyond the treatment room, and I'm here to support you between sessions with any questions or concerns you have.

Additional techniques used in treatment

Electroacupuncture

A modern variation of traditional acupuncture, where small electrical currents are applied to acupuncture needles to enhance their therapeutic effects.

Moxabustion

A traditional Chinese therapy that involves burning the herb mugwort near specific acupuncture points to promote healing, improve circulation, and boost overall well-being.

Gua sha

A traditional Chinese therapy that involves gently scraping the skin with a smooth tool to move stagnation, allowing fresh blood to flow locally for healing.

Cupping

A therapy where suction cups are placed on the skin to improve blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and promote long-term recovery.
